Beschreibung der Ferienwohnung und Anfahrt       (English Text below)

Die Lage: Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich in Locarno-Monti auf 400m.ü.M. (d.h. 200m über dem Seespiegel des Lago Maggiore) an einer ruhigen südexponierten Hanglage mit Seesicht oberhalb der Altstadt von Locarno. Der Zugang erfolgt zu Fuss (50m von der Strasse) auf dem Wanderweg nach Cardada. Es gibt keinen direkten Zugang mit dem Auto zum Haus. Es gibt ca. 50 weiss markierte Parkplätze in 50-100m Entfernung (Werktags einschl. Samstags max 10h; CHF0.80/h während 07:00-19:00 Uhr).

Das Haus: Es ist ein dreistöckiges freistehendes Tessinerhaus im lombardischen Stil mit dicken Steinmauern und Umschwung. Es wurde vor 1850 gebaut und 2012 gesamtrenoviert. In früheren Zeiten war es eine Gaststätte. Heute sind darin zwei Wohnungen untergebracht: Die Eigentümer- und die Ferienwohnung.

Die Ferienwohnung: Es ist dies eine modern eingerichtete helle 50 Quadratmeter 2 1/2-Zimmerwohnung im ersten Stock mit separatem Eingang. Sie besteht aus folgenden Bereichen: grosszügiger Eingang, kleines Bad, Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, Wohnzimmer mit eingebauter Küche, eher kleiner Balkon - und schöne See- und Bergsicht. Die Ferienwohnung verfügt weder über einen eigenen Garten noch über einen eigenen Parkplatz.

Die Ausstattung:

• Einbauküche voll ausgerüstet mit Geschirr-Spühlmaschine, Dunstabzug, 4-Platten Keramikherd, Backofen, Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Toaster, Kaffeemaschinen (u.a. Kapselmaschine für Migros-Deliziokapseln), Geschirr, Küchen-Utensilien und Handtücher
• Bad mit Dusche, Hand- und Duschtücher
• Bett: Doppelbett 180x200cm mit separaten Matratzen, Bettwäsche 
  

• Sofa im Wohnzimmer, welches in ein zweites Doppelbett (160x200cm) umgebaut werden kann. Bettwäsche vorhanden
• Baby Bett: Auf Anfrage im Voraus (keine Zusatzkosten). Maximalgewicht Kleinkind: 14 Kg

• Kommunikation: Swisscom TV / WiFi-Internet unbeschränkt

• Weiteres: Schränke, Bügeleisen, Bügelbrett, Wäscheständer, Staubsauger. Waschmaschine kann bei Bedarf genutzt werden (befindet sich in einem Nebengebäude)

Die Umgebung: Vor dem Haus befindet sich ein Garten gefolgt von einem kleinen Haus, dann die wenig befahrene Strasse nach Monte Bré und zwei Kirchen. Entfernungen vom Haus:

• Zugang zum Fussweg zur Altstadt Locarno: 100m (20min hinunter, 40min hinauf)

• Bäckerei (in Orselina): 700m (nahezu täglich geöffnet) 

• Seilbahn nach Cardada: 500m 

• Kabinenbahn nach Locarno: 500m 

• Kirche Madonna del Sasso: 400m 

• Bushaltestelle: 100m (Buslinie Nr. 3 nach Locarno-Bahnhof und Stadtzentrum). Busse alle 30 Min. tagsüber und alle Stunden Abends/Nachts.

Anfahrt:
Mit Zug und Bus: am Bahnhof Locarno (Haltestelle beim Taxistand / Avec Laden) Bus Nr. 3 bis Haltestelle "Monti della Trinità" nehmen (s. gelbe Strecke auf dem Fahrplan). Ab Ankunfsthaltestellen (die zwei Haltestellen sind 50m voneinander entfernt), auf der Strasse nach Monte Bré zu Fuss 50m bis zur Kirche Trinità gehen. Mit dem grossen Kirchturm (nicht dem kleinen Kirchtum daneben) im Rücken steht man vor einem weissen Haus. Neben dem weissen Haus ist der Wanderweg (Tafel "Sentiero del Roncaccio" an der Mauer nach 10m). Vorne (oben links) ist das gelbe Haus: Casa ai Monti (Hausnummer 3). Der obere Eingang über die Passerelle führt in die Ferienwohnung.

Mit Auto und GPS / Navigator: "Via del Tiglio 1" in Locarno-Monti eingeben (es ist dies die Kirche Trinità) > beim Kirchenplatz parkieren. Dann weiter wie oben beschrieben.

Mit Auto, ohne GPS / Navigator von Norden kommend Autobahnausfahrt "Bellinzona Sud" Richtung Locarno > Hauptstrasse Bellinzona-Locarno > Ausfahrt "Orselina / Minusio / Muralto" (also vor dem Tunnel, welches in die Stadt Locarno führt) > nach 2.4Km, bei der Kirche rechts hochfahren (Richtung "Orselina / Brione") > nach 200m Richtung "Orselina" > nach 150m nochmals Richtung "Orselina" > nach 1.3Km Richtung "Madonna del Sasso". Die Kirche Madonna del Sasso liegt nach 500m unten links. An dieser Kirche vorbeifahren > nach 400m rechts fahren (Richtung "Monte Bré") > nach 50m bei der Kirche Trinità parkieren > weiter wie oben beschrieben.

Mit Auto, ohne GPS / Navigator von Locarno kommend, aus dem grossen Kreisel beim Schloss Locarno bei der Tafel "Locarno-Monti" hinauffahren > nach 400m der Tafel "Locarno-Monti" folgen > nach 100m wieder der Tafel "Locarno-Monti / Monte Bré" folgen > nach 2.6Km (mehrere Kurven den Berg hinauf) bis zur Tafel "Monte Bré" > dieser Tafel folgen (d.h. scharf links abbiegen) > 50m weiter zur Kirche, dann wie oben beschrieben.


Description of Holiday Let and Directions

Location: The apartment is located in Locarno-Monti, 400m above sea level (200m above the level of lake Maggiore) on a tranquil setting on a South exposed hill with lake views, above the old town of Locarno. Access is provided by a footpath (50m from the street) leading to the Cardada mountain destination. There is no direct car access to the house. However, there are about 50 public parking spaces within a 50-100m radius from the house (working days incl. Saturdays max 10h; CHF0.80/h during 7am through 7pm).

The House: It is three stories detached Ticino-house built in the Lombardy style with thick stone walls and some land around it. It was built prior to 1850 and remodeled entirely in 2012. During earlier times it used to be a restaurant. Today there are two apartments in the house, one used by the owners, one is the holiday let.

The Holiday Apartment: It is a modern 50 square meter two and a half rooms apartment on the second floor with a separate entrance. The following is available: sizeable entry hall, small bathroom, bedroom with king-size bed, living room with open-plan kitchen, rather small balcony with great lake and mountain views. The holiday let does neither have its own garden nor its own parking space.

Facilities & Equipment:

• Kitchen with all appliances needed (dishwasher, fumes hood, 4-plates ceramics burner, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee makers (among them one for Migros-Delizio capsules), dishes, utensils, hand towels)
• Bathroom with shower and towels
• King-size bed (180x200cm) with separate mattresses, bed linens
• Foldable couch in living room. Once opened it creates a queen-size bed (160x200cm), bed linens
• Crib: Available on request prior to booking (no additional charge). Maximum baby weight: 14 Kg
  
• Communication: Swisscom TV, unlimited WiFi-Internet 
• Other: Cabinets, iron, ironing board, laundry rack, vacuum cleaner. A laundry machine is available in a separate building
  

Surroundings: In front of the house there is a garden and a smaller house at the street leading to the Monte Bré area (very low traffic) and two churches. Distances from the house to:

• Access to footpath to Locarno downtown: 100m (20min walk down and 40min walk up)
• Bakery (in the nearby village of Orselina): 700m (virtually open daily)
• Aerial cable car to Cardada: 500m
• Rail cable car to Locarno: 500m
• Madonna del Sasso sanctuary and church: 400m
• Bus stop: 100m (Bus nr. 3 to Locarno train station and downtown). Buses every 30 min during the day and every hour during evenings/nights

Directions:

• By train and bus: Take bus no. 3 at Locarno train station (near taxi stops / Avec shop), the yellow line on the timetable. Exit at the “Monti della Trinità” bus stop. Upon exiting the bus (the 2 bus stops are 50m from each other), on the road towards Monte Bré, walk 50m until you reach the church Trinità. With its big steeple (not the smaller one) at your back, you see a white house in front of you. On the side of this white house there is a footpath (street sign “Sentiero del Roncaccio” at the wall, 10m from the street). In front of you (looking up on the left) you see a yellow house. This is your destination: Casa ai Monti (house number 3). The entrance on the second floor through a bridge-gangway is 50m from the street.
• By car and GPS navigator: enter the city “Locarno-Monti” (or Locarno) and the street "Via del Tiglio 1" into the instrument (this is the address of the church Trinità). Park your vehicle near the church. Proceed as described above.
• By car without GPS navigator coming from North: Take highway exit “Bellinzona Sud”. Direction Locarno > main road Bellinzona-Locarno > exit “Orselina / Minusio / Muralto” (that is just before the tunnel to the city of Locarno) > after 2.4Km, drive upward near the church (direction of “Orselina / Brione”) > after 200m towards “Orselina” > after 150m again direction “Orselina” > after 1.3Km direction “Madonna del Sasso”. The big church Madonna del Sasso is below the street level after 500m at your left. Proceed beyond this church > after 400m keep right (direction “Monte Bré”) > after 50m you see the church Trinità. Park your vehicle near the church. Proceed as described above.

• By car without GPS navigator coming from Locarno: Exit the big roundabout at the castle of Locarno at the sign “Locarno-Monti” > after 400m, follow the sign Locarno-Monti” > after another 100m follow the sign “Locarno-Monti  / Monte Bré” > after 2.6Km of a winding upwards road, follow the sign “Monte Bré” (that is, make a sharp turn left) > 50m to the church Trinità. Park your vehicle near the church. Proceed as described above.
